The Class of 1982 returned to campus on Saturday, September 29th as part of their 30th Reunion weekend celebration. Almost 40 members of the class reunited on Vancouver Island from as far away as Florida, New York and the UK to catch up and relive their favourite Brentwood memories.
Following their tour of campus with John Allpress and greeting from Bud Patel, the 82s enjoyed lunch in Crooks Hall with a number of emeritus faculty including Steve Wynne, Tony and Yvonne Carr, Norah Arthurs, John Queen, Nick Prowse, and Howard Martin. The weather was near perfect and several Old Brentonians were able to get on the water with a group in a men’s 8 and Mike Maxwell a single scull, proving they still have what it takes to race a group of current Brentwood rowers. The group ended their day in the McNeill Centre where they raised a glass in honour of their Class and announced their group donation back to Brentwood in honour of this special milestone.
Special thanks to Nadine (Pulos) Sheppard, Joel Whist, and Elspeth (Gilmour) Cooper for their hard work in organizing the Class of ’82 Reunion!
