Winterlude 2020

12 January 2020

It is, once again, the time of the year when Brentwood students are able to pack their helmets and head up to the slopes of Mount Washington on Wednesday, January 29 to enjoy the annual Winterlude event organized by Mr Lee. This is an event that has been cherished by students at Brentwood for years. The trip features downhill skiing, cross country skiing, tubing, snowshoeing and an avalanche course instructed by Mr Ken Wylie.

The cast of Spamalot, this year’s musical, unfortunately, will be staying at school preparing for the performances that will begin less than a month after Winterlude under the guidance of Mrs Widenmaier, while some seniors will stay back to be offered tutorial assistance and academic catch up time.

The busses will leave at 6 am for skiing, snowboarding and the avalanche course. Busses for the rest of the activities will leave at 8 am. Students will be able to pack a nutritious meal and snacks in Crooks Hall before departure. Hopefully the weather conditions for the day will be ideal to enjoy this winter wonderland. Sky S, Rogers ‘22 claims “ I’m excited to come back to school and challenge the slopes with my friends.”

Further inquiries about the schedule and other aspects of the trip can be found in the email sent by Mr Lee and on the Brentwood Winterlude website: https://sites.google.com/brentwood.ca/winterlude?pli=1
