Winter Athletic Awards 1

At Assembly on Thursday, some of our finest basketball and hockey players were presented with Winter Athletic Awards. Miranda NP ‘23 was awarded the Lister Trophy for the Junior Girls Basketball player who is an outstanding leader - not necessarily in a vocal manner - but through her actions both on and off the court every day. Her preparation, dedication and determination to improve both her own skill set and the performance of the team throughout the season has been exemplary. She is a terrific role model for others and a valuable contributor when the game is on the line. The Senior Boys Basketball team has two awards. Juan NP, Miranda’s older brother, won the Hoshi Trophy as Defensive Player of the Year while Ian G won the Player’s Award for outstanding commitment to the program, teammates and the love of the game.  For the Senior Girls Bball team, the Coach’s Award for outstanding performance throughout the season went to Captain Zjaya D. In the Ice Hockey program, the Offensive Player of the Year was Haden U; Defensive Player of the Year, Ben M; and the Coaches’ Award for an individual who leads by example on the ice, in the dressing room, on the bus, the ferry and most importantly, around the school, went to Blake C.
