Welcome Back Green Lake!
After a three-year covid hiatus, the Brentwood College Rowing Club is once again hosting athletes from Seattle's Green Lake Rowing Club for a three-day celebration of training.
Since 2000, crews from GLRC have been traveling north in October to train alongside our athletes, engage in competitive practices, enjoy the social highlights of a Brentwood weekend, and catalyze new cross-border friendships.
18 energetic rowers arrived this afternoon, popped on the water for a 3pm row and will spend the next two days hosted in the residences and enjoying four more rigorous practices.
Mr. Brian Carr, longtime Brentwood rowing coach and part-time Brentwood historian, added “This is a great weekend for our crews to recognize how other clubs train in the fall months. Rowing alongside our friends from Green Lake, many lessons will be learned and we will use these to work toward the goals for the spring racing season.”
