Volleyball Team Wins 5th Consecutive Island Championship

This past Saturday our Senior volleyball team won their fifth consecutive Island title here at Brentwood. The team remained undefeated in the pool play, playing against St Michael's University School (25-14, 25-12), St Andrew's School (25-9, 25-5), and Lambrick Park School (25-13, 25-12). The girls faced Shawnigan Lake School in the semi-finals and were victorious with scores of 25-17, 25-15, and 25-14. In the final, we defeated Woodlands School with an initial loss of 22-25, followed by winning games of 25-16, 25-15, 25-19. Receiving individual awards for outstanding performances were Indre S and Shelby M. The MVP for the tournament was Krista F. Coach Jill Fougner is very proud of the entire team and is impressed by the girls' work ethic, their introspective approach to the sport, and their ability to execute a game plan. The team will be competing in the provincial championships at SMUS at the beginning of December. Currently we are ranked #2 in the province.
