Update from Senior B Girls Volleyball Team
The Senior B Girls Volleyball team has had a very successful start to their season. Before the Thanksgiving break the girls fought to keep pace with a strong Shawnigan Lake team in front of many Shawnigan supporters as the first ever sporting competition was played in their new gym! The Brentwood girls displayed courage, adversity, and determination to the crowd as they battled for every point. Defence was the key to this match and Sophia L was our digging queen!
On October 15th, after having a week break from volleyball, the team hosted Chemainus A. Our girls had a very slow start to the match losing the first game 10-25. The girls rebounded back with strong serving from Erica M, Irene H and Carly O to win the next game 23-25. The third game could have been won by either team; however, we came out on top winning 16-14! It was a very exciting match and the girls should be very proud of their performance!
Our next match is at Brentwood on October 22nd against Lake Cowichan.
