UBC Escapade

Nine Grade 10 students and I recently attended a day at UBC where we were treated to lectures and hands-on science activities at the Michael Smith Laboratories. This annual event entitled "Excellent Escapades in Science" gives students the opportunity to visit the UBC campus and experience its faculty and facilities firsthand whilst having fun learning about a wide variety of science topics. Out students designed propulsion systems, built cloud chambers to detect muons and manufactured filters to decontaminate water supplies.
