Trying for Tries
This past Saturday the Girls Rugby team played a Showcase game against our main rival, Shawnigan Lake School. The game was evenly matched for the most part but, despite our hard work, Shawnigan won by two points – one conversion. We played a good, close game and left Shawnigan with strong determination to improve.
On Tuesday, however, we were able to redeem ourselves in our home game against Ladysmith with a 75-0 score. We had many excellent tries, scored by Georgia W, Charlotte D, Lauren A, Shannon O, Ciel A, Nambi M, Mikayla DJ and Hannah C as well as five conversions by Lauren A.
Our next competition is the Island 7s Tournament at Cowichan High School in Duncan on Saturday, April 13.
