On Friday November 6, some of our overseas students departed on an amazing trip to Tofino for the Midterm. At 11am, students were ready and all packed up for the trip as one of our awesome drivers, Derek, was ready to help the students with their suitcases. We were en route to surf city on Vancouver Island’s rugged west coast via Nanaimo and Port Alberni. When we arrived at Tofino, the weather was cold and windy but Nurse Jasmin kindly had thought of everything and let us have some free time to unpack. We went for dinner, and, after the memorable bonfire, we all went to bed. The trip was amazing and I never felt bored once; everything was on point, from activities to the food. Activities included a day of surfing, a boat trip to the hot springs and whale watching, and a visit to the Ucluelet Aquarium. A big shout out to Nurse Jasmin, Amy, and Derek: we had the best team for the best trip.
