To Replace Liz Truss?
Last weekend we had eight debaters participate in the 2022 British Parliamentary Debate Provincials, our first competitive event of the season! They were Daniel J, Grace S, Kennedy P, Karter P, Yash D, Sebastian EG, Hamish G & Luke P.
We also had some brand new debaters make their debut alongside some of our more experienced members. A special shoutout to Daniel who placed amongst the top individual speakers as well as Yash who, in his first debate, placed very well in the Senior category, despite being a junior! And last, but not least, Karter P, who carried on with his debate whilst the fire alarms were going off and the whole Woodward building evacuated. That’s unsafe, but shows the commitment!
Our programme is already showing immense potential, and I am extremely proud of all those who participated.
