'Tis The Season for University Acceptances!

For most, the holiday season is a peaceful time with family and friends. For the senior students applying to universities, it is a frenzied time when the decisions on early applications come in. This year has begun in spectacular fashion with some very impressive admission offers received already. The University Counsellors would like to congratulate the following students on their early offers of admission: Rona Mitchell has received a stunning list of early offers, with the most notable two being Chemical Engineering from Oxford University in England and Medicine at St. Andrews University in Scotland! Other offers from the U.K. include: Chemical & Bioprocess Engineering at Bath University and Chemical Physics at the University of Edinburgh.Head Prefect Nellie Pitoniak received good news right at the beginning of the holidays with her Early Decision offer at Middlebury College in Vermont.Catherine MacDonald also received her Early Decision offer from Colgate University in New York.Continuing our tradition of success in this program, Vytas Semogas, Sebastian Kohlmetz, Jessie Oh and Mie Maxwell-Smith each received offers to Medicine at St. Andrews University.Sammy Hull to study English Literature at King's College London.Lauren McKallor received an early offer from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon with a major entrance scholarship.Taylor Poelman to Arts at Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick.Kate Chakowski to Arts and Sarah Karim to Science at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia.Jennifer Castner to Elementary Education, Andrew Butler to Social Sciences and Jessie Oh to Science at the University of Victoria.Hannah Price to Social Sciences at the University of Calgary.
