While all boarders at Brentwood are passionate about the house they live in, exemplifying their house spirit through interhouse events and bonding within the house, there is only one day each school year where each house can showcase itself to the rest of the school, immersing the student body into their humble home.  This past Saturday night, Hope House hosted an open house for the rest of the school with the theme of “The Real Housewives of Brentwood”, based off the infamous reality TV show.  Hope House is the newest boarding house on the Brentwood campus, with the girls moving over to the new house in 2015 after previously residing on one side of Rogers.  For the evening the new boarding house was decorated from top to bottom in lavish decor, from pink streamers to a “red carpet” runway, mirroring the exuberant lives of The Real Housewives.  Brentwood students certainly proved they know how to clean up well, dressing in suits and dresses as they attended the open house. Guests were advised to take off their heels as DJ’s Omkar V and Jacob B drew them to the dance floor in Hope’s spacious common room Guests enjoyed a variety of snacks such as fruit kabobs, mini red velvet cupcakes, and sugar cookies as they meandered through the house with each floor bringing its own theme: City nightlife, 21st birthday, and Baby Shower.  To capture the memories of the open house, a photo booth was set up on the second floor where students posed in front of gold streamers. Bronte G, a Hope Grade 12, noted that “The photo booth was definitely [her] favourite part of the open house”.  The “real housewives of Brentwood” hosted the school in a high class fashion, and are looking forward to showcasing the house in a different light and theme next year.  “I think the open house was a success. It was really nice to see all our hard work come to fruition” beamed Phoebe H, Hope House Captain ‘19.  Nadia K, Hope ‘19
