The Place To Be
Brentwood has so many incredible amenities that make it where students choose to be. McNeill’s Cafe is one of the places that brings so much to our school.
McNeill’s is the place to be on afternoons during arts blocks or before sports. Brentwood students love it because “It’s really fun to go and hang out there when it’s cold and you can meet up with your friends indoors. Also the Matcha Frappuccinos are so good!” says Nevé M, Hope ‘23.
McNeill’s has everything that most coffee shops have and more! Numerous cold and hot drinks, smoothies, cookies and treats, and savoury food too. “Everything always tastes fresh.” They even have options for most dietary restrictions such as vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free. “I love how they always have treats for people with allergies and also the staff are always so sweet to everyone around them” says Lorelei B, Hope ‘23. At McNeill’s, they accommodate your food preferences to the highest standard and the best of their abilities.
Since the winter break, McNeill’s operating hours have changed. Now, instead of only being open in the afternoons Monday-Friday, they are open in the early mornings before school and are also open on Saturdays. Students can just walk right outside of their houses to get their drink of choice and a treat before school starts - whether that is a berry smoothie or a matcha latte - McNeill’s will have it.
McNeill’s cafe also uses compostable to-go cups because here at Brentwood we are environmentally conscious. Our Brentwood Environmental Action Team (BEAT) makes this possible. “I really like supporting a cafe that cares about the environment,” says Julia N, Hope ‘23.
