The Latest Rowing Update

Our rowing programme has had some exciting news recently! The list of athletes for the Junior National team camp over Spring Break has been finalized and has been published on the Rowing Canada website. Individual letters have been sent to the athletes. We are very pleased to tell you that five Brentwood athletes have made the cut and will be invited to the camp. Leading the charge will be Eric J as well as Adam G, Connor M, Martin B, and coxswain Alex C. Head of Rowing Brian Carr has been invited as one of the Junior A coaches for the 2010 team. The camp will be held at Shawnigan Lake School the second week of our Spring Break. Athletes competing for a place on the Junior National team for the summer of 2010 will be at Junior Speed Orders the Monday and Tuesday after the high school national championships in St. Catharines, Ontario. Eric J will be a placard carrier for the Opening Ceremonies of the Para-Olympic Games on March 12. And finally, Anastasia (Stacey) K has been named to the Rowing BC Development Camp being held the first week of Spring Break. Congratulations to all!
