As the end of year rolls around, campus is buzzing! Students can practically taste sweet summer, but with tart exams starting tomorrow we are are busy bees studying - and soon cramming. Lots of exciting things will happen before the year is over (this definitely doesn't include exams). One of the first signs the student body knows summer is close is the Bentwood tradition of ‘Dress As You Like Day’ when students are given the option to trade uniforms for the day. Other signs include the Grade BBQs hosted by the Patels. Also, in the lead up to Closing Day Ceremonies, there is the Internal Awards this afternoon where students will be awarded academic, arts and athletics awards. Tomorrow, exams begin.  On Saturday it will be the last inter-house event, track and field. Following this boisterous competition the students will have a BBQ on the plaza and a bit of fun on the waterfront. Then, after a fun-filled weekend it's time to push through and get exams done. The Grads on campus are practically tapping their toes awaiting their adventure in university. The Grade 11s, meanwhile, are biting their fingernails in anticipation of becoming a Grade 12, the next generation of leaders of the Brentwood community. Most Grade 10s are excited to be promoted from being a junior on campus to a senior and are ready to help the future Grade 12s make the school the best it can be. Last but not least, the Grade 9’s are ready to not be the little Grade 9s on campus - that responsibility will fall to Ms Patel’s and Ms Ramundi’s Grade 8s. With just a few days left, the students and staff are pushing through a tough week of exams ahead, looking back on a fantastic year, and looking forward to 2017-2018. Emma H, Allard ‘18
