The Best Kind of Days
We live on one of the most beautiful school campuses around and one of the few things which enhances it even more is sunny days. When the sun is shining on campus, you can almost feel the cheerfulness radiating from the students and staff. Everyone is out on Gillespie Field or the waterfront having picnics and playing all sorts of games together in their cohorts.
“My favourite thing to do on sunny days is getting to-go food and having a picnic with my friends on the field” Lorelei B, Hope ‘23 informed me. “We play music, eat delicious food, and talk.”
“I always enjoy hanging out and laughing with my friends on the field,” says Jenny L, Alex ‘23. “It really is one of my favourite things to do.”
“Sunny days are great days for students because we can all hang out in the warm sun and be with our friends” says Aidan A, Rogers ‘23.
Nevé M, Hope ‘23 added “It is a nice place to come with your friends on sunny days because you can sit, walk around, and play sports together.”
Students love spending time outside with their peers chatting and laughing. The Grade 9s organized a group Capture the Flag last Saturday night and it was a blast! “Sunny days on campus bring so much joy to me and my friends! Being able to go outside and sit or play soccer on the field builds our bonds stronger and keeps our spirits up” says Abby W, Hope ‘24.
The houses all have lots of sports equipment to use like tennis rackets, spike ball nets, soccer balls, footballs, and volleyballs. Students and on-campus staff alike can be found on both the Gillespie Field and the turf running around and playing in cohorts.
When the sun shines on campus everyone is outside having fun!
