Thanksgiving Fever

From bright blue skies to light gray clouds, from September 1 to October 5, from nights on the field with friends to late night study sessions, school has officially started. As Mr.Patel says, “Camp Brentwood is over.” While ‘Camp Brentwood’ was a blast, it's time to keep our shoulders to the grindstone. ‘Welcome to the life of boarding school’ whispers the winds as the autumn season rolls around. April showers may bring May flowers, but autumn season comes with fevers. While the health center staff has been working overtime, classes have been depleted while students have been fighting the year’s first bug. Thanksgiving Break couldn't come at a better time. While marks are about to go in, students are studying and working hard. Balancing our tripartite program can be challenging, but new, as well as returning, students are in the groove. The past 48 hours on campus have been extremely busy with a Showcase Soccer game, Thanksgiving Dinner, a Thanksgiving concert and then a trip home to our parents’ loving arms. With just one day of classes before the holiday, teachers are talking turkey.  Emma H, Allard ‘18
