Tennis Team Back in Action 1

The sun was shining, the burgers were flaming on the barbeque, and the Brentwood tennis players were back in action as they hosted the Fall Classic Tennis Tournament.  The Fall Classic featured two divisions. One, the Senior Boys US Open, featured five of the top boys doubles teams in the area who played a round robin with a total of four matches over the two days. The caliber of play was terrific with many exciting rallies and excellent shot making. At the end of the round robin, the Brentwood team of Nick M and Christopher C stood undefeated to take top honors. The runners up were Alex W and Yugi M from Shawnigan Lake School. The second division featured eleven doubles teams competing in a triple knockout format. The teams features boys and girls in Grades 8 -12.  In the “A” Australian Open division, the team of Tiara H and Sarina M defeated the Brentwood team of Alvaro C and Dilan G to take top honors.  Next, in the “B” BNP Paribas Open, the local team of Chanelle M and Natalia S defeated Brentwood’s Arthur L and Wyatt T in a closely contested final. The Brentwood team of Nancy M and Camila G took top honors in the Canadian Open division. It was a terrific way to start the season and the tennis team is looking forward to another great year.
