On May 4th the Senior Tennis team played their match against Shawnigan. Brentwood hosted the match and had a great performance. After the defeat last Tuesday where Brentwood lost 2 to 9, the Senior team beat Shawnigan 9 to 4. They now have the opportunity to play in the Islands, one week before Midterm Break with a huge chance to win, which would lead them to Provincials right after the break.  The Goliath vs David match was outstanding. While half of the team was playing against, the other half cheered, which showed amazing team spirit. Alejandro G, Ellis ‘17 and Nancy M, Mackenzie ‘17, our Captains, were really engaging and did their best to support their team and did that with success. Brentwood’s Senior team is strong this year and will probably go far. Mrs. McLean chose her team very carefully after we had term one which was the fun season and term two where we worked on our technique. Now it is really important how the team members are presenting themselves. It is the third term: competitive season! We consist of 20 hard-working students who play every day to give their best performance all day, everyday.  We wish our team the best of luck at Islands and hopefully at Provincials!
