Striking for the Climate
On Friday, the 20th of September, thanks to the support of the BEAT, a bus full of passionate students drove to Duncan to participate in a Climate Strike. The Climate Strike that we attended was organized and run by students in the same age range as us, people just like us. We were not, however, the only ones striking that day.
People all over the globe struck as well, making this a global phenomenon. As a collective whole, people young and old all chanted, all shouted, all demanded change as we marched from the town square to the entrance of the CVRD, holding our signs high and proud above our heads, doing all we could to make our statement known: we are here, we are angry, and we need change.
