Stayin’ Alive

This past Thursday, the Grade 10 class got to skip out on English class and go to the presentation “Alive after Five”. We all filed into the lecture theatre not knowing what the presentation would be on. There we learned about hazards in the workplace; they made many points driven home with stories and experiences. They also showed how to wear safety equipment.  After an informative talk, we left knowing the rights we had as young workers that we can carry into summer jobs, and other future employment opportunities.
