Sr. Boys Beat Barsby

After a win against Chemainus, the senior boys suffered a loss against a strong Gulf Islands side at Salt Spring last week. The best goal of the competition came from Rene B after a slick pass from Kyu Ho L to get us back in the game early in the second half, but the skill of the opposition took its toll and ultimately was the deciding factor in the outcome of the match. The team worked hard and was able to equal the intensity of Gulf Islands. A little additional mental discipline, and better individual positional play, were key areas we worked on as we prepared for Barsby on Oct 13th.

It was a sunny autumn afternoon. The play favoured Brentwood and we were able to capitalize on the possession we had. Two goals from Kyo Ho L, the first from a direct ball from our keeper Cam R, the second from Captain Ian M, put Brentwood in the lead. A fine pass from Rene B put Hezron R through to finish coolly, notching the third.

Alex P finished the scoring while Cam R recorded the shutout. The Barsby goaltender had a strong game denying BCS a number of decent chances.
The boys play Frances Kelsey in an away friendly on Oct 18th and then heads up island on the 20th to take on Kwalicum in league play.
