Yesterday (15th October), a packed bus of enthusiastic Brentwood College students, travelled to Victoria University's Farquhar Auditorium to see the legendary Ladysmith Black Mambazo from my home town, Durban, South Africa. And what a show we saw!  The rich male harmonies and amazing choreography soon set the packed house tapping their toes to this great Zulu music.  Ladysmith Black Mambazo, led by their songwriter, arranger and leader Joseph Shabalala have been together for 47 years. Their rise to international fame came about with their collaboration with Paul Simon and "Graceland".  They have since played with Josh Grobin, Mavis Staples, Ben Harper and Stevie Wonder. They tour the world eight months of the year, and I would highly recommend you take in their show when they appear at a city near you.
