Soccer: Senior Girls win home opener

The Senior Girls soccer team scored a convincing 7-0 victory over Island rivals Wellington in their league home opener. Sophie Titley opened the scoring 3 minutes into the game from a nice cross by Taylor Walsh. Marta Bakowska-Mathews scored the second goal on a free kick from 30 yards out and Cassandra Yoon capitalized on a Brigid McCormack cross to see the team finishing the half with a 3-0 lead. Marta added two more in the second half with Emma Titley and Taylor Walsh also contributing with one goal each. Megan Griffiths was solid in goal. Next up for the girls is a huge game against arch rivals Woodlands at Brentwood on Thursday 9th April (4:00 pm kickoff).
