Soccer Opens With Win

14 September 2019
The Senior Boys Soccer team opened its season with an energetic 4-3 edging of the Collingwood Cavaliers this morning in a pre-class shootout. Coach Barrett employed all four and score boys named to the squad in a game that had three halves. Brentwoood’s four goals came from Erik L, Ben H, Jack NG & Callum BC.

“After having just and handful of training sessions with the new squad, only a few minutes into the game the boys were ticking” said Noel P, Whittall ‘21, Brentwood’s starting center back. “I think this is a really good benchmark for the start of our season.”

Next up for the boys is the ISA tournament starting Friday at St. Georges in Vancouver. The team is getting excited to kick off their competitive season against the province’s top independent schools such as Shawnigan Lake, St. Georges, Collingwood and SMUS.
