Soccer Kicks Off
The Brentwood Junior Boys' Soccer team kicked off our season with a 2-1 victory over our South Cowichan rivals, Shawnigan on Thursday. Supporters from all over campus were there to cheer on their schoolmates including our Head of School, Mr. Patel.
Brentwood struck first when Brendan K was brought down in the box and Ulysses G converted on a great penalty kick. Then Shawnigan snuck in a lucky goal to tie the game at one apiece.
With 5 minutes to play, Captain Reid A put in a fantastic cross that was headed in by Toby CH and Brentwood retook the lead and held on in the closing minutes for the win. This is a very promising start to our season.
