Soccer: Junior Girls start the 2009 season

The Junior Girls started the 2009 season with a road trip to Saltspring Island to play the perennially powerful islanders.  Although the team played with a spirited committment, the Saltspring side was skilled and quick. Without the services of a number of regular players who had other school obligations, our team was unable to match the play of the Saltspring squad.  Bailey Lalonde and Annelise Hutchinson shared the goaltending duties, and both played courageously. Mairi Horth was instrumental in the defence while Kate Philippson scored with clinical finish from a nice through ball from Mairead McCormack. The team travels to Shawnigan Lake School on April 7th for what is always a competitive match.
