Snowball 2019

On Saturday, December 7, 2019, the annual Snowball took place at Brentwood. A lot of elegantly dressed students showed up at the event, where each pair consisted of a junior and a senior student. Of course, students who did not have a Snowball partner could also attend with friends. The evening consisted of a terrific meal and a hypnotist show. This year's Snowball was attended by 413 students.

Snowball is a traditional event at Brentwood. A junior student asks a senior student, during the course of the fall, if they could attend the event together. Afterwards, both go on a Snowball date together Uptown. One of the purposes of this event is to meet new people and make new friends.

Around six o'clock, the first pupils appeared in Crooks Hall - which was impressively decorated by parent volunteers - after the boys picked up their partner at their house and they exchanged presents with each other. Afterwards, the students went to tables they had chosen in advance and enjoyed a dinner of great quality. After the meal, many photos were taken, with the whole table, friends, or with the Snowball dates.

After dinner, the participants went to the Killy Theatre to watch a spectacular hypnosis show. Volunteer students on stage were hypnotized by a professional hypnotist and this provided a lot of fun for the audience. This was a perfect conclusion to this eventful evening.

A big thank you goes, of course, to the food services staff for preparing a very special dinner, to the volunteer photographers, who captured many beautiful moments with their cameras, to the hypnotist who presented a spectacular show, to all students and employees who helped with the organization of this event, and of course to Mrs Stevens and Desola O, Hope ‘20 and the Grad Council who led the organization. It was a very successful event that will be remembered by all participants for a very long time.
