Seniors Secure Silver
The Senior Girls Basketball team played in the Wellington Tournament this past weekend. We started the tournament strongly by coming back to win our first game after being down by twenty points to D.W. Poppy. It was an awesome win with very positive energy. That positive energy carried on to our next game which we dominated by beating Carihi High by twenty points.
Winning our first two games gave us a spot in the finals against the home team, Wellington. In the final we started off being able to compete with Wellington, but towards the end of the first quarter they started to pull away. In the end we came out with a loss but still ended up getting second place at the tournament.
Tournament All Stars from our team were Brooke L and Tajzha D. Also congratulations to Ashley C and Rayna A who fought through sickness and still played some important minutes in the tournament.
Our next league game is this this afternoon at Shawnigan and our next tournament is the Victoria Police contest in Victoria this weekend.
