Senior Volleyball Cracks BC Top Dozen

13 December 2012
The Senior Girls volleyball season came to a close this past weekend as we competed in the 2012 BC Provincial Championships. The championships were held in Cedar with 16 teams vying for the top spot.

The competition this year was much greater than it has been in the past. We had a slow start in round robin play and lost all three games on Thursday. Knowing we needed to win our morning game on Friday we went in, took risks, and played with heart, yet came up short once again. We won our afternoon game, but we were still placed in the bottom half of the bracket.

We met up with Lambrick Park in our final game of the tournament. The rivalry with Lambrick continued throughout three sets where we fought hard and left it all on the court. We came up just short once again, losing by three points, but that did not put a damper on anyone’s mood. The team could not have played with more heart that game.

Though we did not achieve our goal of coming top 5 at provincials, we could not have been more proud of our accomplishments this season.  Well done ladies!
