Senior Soccer Secures Spot

Needing a win against Ballenas of Parksville to advance to the North Island Senior Boys Playoffs, the team played their best soccer of the year and were rewarded with a win that takes them to Nanaimo for the Playoffs next Monday and Tuesday, Nov 2nd & 3rd. The defense was calm, composed and organized, allowing Ballenas few chances. They fed the midfield, who, in turn, were able to keep constant pressure on the opposition creating many good opportunities for our forwards. With this 5-1 victory, the boys go into the playoffs on a positive note. The coaches were pleased with the performances of the entire team. We have two remaining training sessions to prepare for the playoffs next week, as well as partaking in a team dinner at the home of local parents, Mr. & Mrs. Griffiths.
