Bringing home Brentwood’s first ever Provincial Soccer Championship, it was a historic season for our Senior Boys team. The key was not that everything went right, but rather that we responded to our challenges with a never-give-up attitude. We started off our season with the ISA Championship and hit the ground running. Claiming gold with a 3-0 win over St George’s in the finals set the tone for the season and set our expectations for the year. Coach Barrett ensured we didn’t focus on these results, but rather we got right into training.

An undefeated regular season took us into North Islands, where our growth as a team was put on display. By the time we had secured our birth into Provincials, the season had taken its toll with two Captains suffering MCL injuries. However, others were ready to fill these roles and despite coming in as the lowest seed, we left as Champions. When the final penalty shootout was won, we knew that our group had earned it, and Brentwood history had been made.
