The Senior Boys Soccer team has had an impressive start to the 2018 season. The team, consisting of a mix of Grade 11s, 12s, and even a few grade 10s, has gone undefeated in the regular season so far.  On September 20, Brentwood hosted their friends down the road, Shawnigan Lake School. The boys played well and came out with a convincing 7-4 win. The goal scoring was shared amongst the squad. Ope RA & Noah H each scored two while the other three goals were scored by Jack NG, Arnau T, and Ifeanyi A. Two weeks later Gulf Islands SS made the trip across the Swanson Channel to Brentwood. Although Gulf Islands is a good team, Brentwood played exceptionally well, winning 3-0. The goals came from Arnau T (2), and Will M.  The last regular season game of the season was the battle of Mill Bay against Francis Kelsey Secondary. It was a shocking start to the game for us until Declan S put in the first goal for Brentwood. The boys rallied and picked it up after that. The match ended 4-0 with the other three goals coming from Lucas U, Alex C, and, surprisingly, goalkeeper Juan NP. Most recently, the boys claimed the #1 seed for the North Island Tournament with a 4-0 win over Ballenas.  After a strong regular season, the boys hope to keep in good form heading into North Islands, hosted at Brentwood on November 1st and 2nd, and then into the Island Championships. Good luck to them!  Will M, Privett ‘20
