Senior Soccer Falls Just Short

Brentwood played host to long-standing rivals Shawnigan in a Senior Boys Soccer friendly on a beautiful fall day with lots of the student body out to watch and cheer on their team. An even match with lots of intensity saw SLS score a goal in the first half and a final one at the end as BCS pushed forward to find an equalizer, leaving BCS on the short end, 2-0. The coaches were pleased with the effort and that the entire squad got some valuable playing time leading into the playoffs. The team has a final tune up friendly with a men's team from Thetis Island on Saturday and then hosts Ballenas in a playoff seeding game at BCS on Oct 27th with a 2 pm kickoff. Coaches C.
