Senior Soccer Dominates Gulf Islands

After their game with NDSS last week, the Senior Girls Soccer team took on Gulf Island Secondary School this past Tuesday in their North Island playoff game. With a good warm up and Brentwood fans supporting their side, they were ready to play. Even though GISS had a strong team, it did not intimidate our Senior Girls. Karly D started the game off with a goal to fire up her teammates, pressuring GISS. The girls ruthlessly continued to score against GISS without showing any signs of slowing down. Sarah M, Emilia G, Kelsey H and Meaghan B had their own goals while Karly D had an excellent game, scoring a pair. GISS did not give up until the end and gave it their all, but it wasn’t enough to stop Brentwood’s rampage. Sam D and her back line provided impeccable defense while Kendra S made some incredible saves. Brentwood took the win, 6-3, clearly showing that they are capable of making it to the V.I.S.S.A.A. Senior Girl’s AA Soccer Tournament. Paul L, Whittall ‘15
