The senior boys soccer team travelled to SMU on Friday to participate in the annual ISA soccer tournament. In the first match, West Point Gray proved to be a worthy opponent, and the score was tied 0-0 at the end of regular time. The ensuing shootout, however, saw Brentwood emerge as winners. In the second match against Southpoint, the team intially fell behind before rallying to a decisive 4-1 win, with Nick Chapin notching a pair, along with successful efforts by Jaemok Lee and Eric Skoretz. The third game against hosts St. Michaels School saw a spirited match that was scoreless at the half, but the opposition were fresher in the second half eventually winning 3-1. Sang Hyun Lee scored the lone tally for Brentwood. The high work rate and never-say-die attitude of the Brentwood team was instrumental in a strong showing and should prove  invaluable in the approaching regular season. Tournament play resumes Saturday morning. Gord Horth
