Senior Soccer: boys score at will, but come up short...

The senior boys soccer team travelled to Nanaimo to play Woodlands, and in a high scoring affair (5-5), saw their early season form begin to slip. Scoring came from many quarters with Paul Bosco leading the charge with a hat-trick, accompanied by a fine header from Taylor Adams, and a nice strike by Nick Chapin. Unfortunately, the goal-scoring spree was accompanied by a sub-par work effort on the day, and some lapses in concentratiion and committment that allowed Woodlands back into the game. Dropping these points now makes it critical that the team reconnect with the work ethic that produced more positive results at the start of the league if they hope to vie for a playoff berth. The 2nd XI next play their Shawnigan counterparts at home (on the 16th October) while the first team goes back on the road to Ladysmith for a must win situation on the 21st.
