Senior Soccer Approaches Playoffs
The Senior Boys had a two game road trip this past week. First we faced Frances Kelsey, then Kwalicum two days later. The Kelsey game saw Brentwood find its scoring touch and find the back of the net three times in the first half. A lovely header by Rui Kai M delivered by James C started things, followed by strikes from Rene B & finally Kyu Ho L. It was a lively game that we ultimately lost in the last minute of play but it was noteworthy for the number of scoring chances we created.
At Kwalicum we scored the opening goal on a penalty shot taken by captain Ian M after Kyu Ho L was taken down in the penalty area, but the opposition came back to claim a victory. The intensity of the play exhibited by Brentwood was very positive, and we had some decent opportunities to score, but a few miscues proved costly.
Our last league game prior to playoffs is at home against Shawnigan on Oct 25th.
