Senior Girls Win Mid-Islands

On Tuesday, the Senior Girls Basketball team faced Gulf Islands to play for the Mid-Island League title. Having lost to GI earlier this year, it was critical to beat them for a good league standing in order for the girls to have the best run at South Islands.  Starting and finishing the game strong, the girls gained an early lead and held it through the entire game. Shutting down the two main players on GI, our girls set the pace to their game with defense.  On Thursday, after working their way through a three hour English 12 or Socials 11 midterm exam, the girls also defeated Kelsey 85-35. The girls will return early from midterm to prepare for their South Island Tournament next weekend. Congratulations on being the Mid-Island Champs!  Congratulations also to Coach Warner and Mrs. Warner on the arrival of their second child earlier this week. Petra J, Allard ‘16, Captain
