It was a soccer-filled two days of competition this past weekend at Southridge school in White Rock. Day 1 was exciting, with the girls beating Crofton House 2-1 through penalty kicks and losing a close game to Southridge 2-1.  On Saturday, our roster was strengthened considerably with the addition of four of our junior girls and our first game saw a win over Queen Margaret's School 1-0 to round out pool play.  In the semi-final, we met a very talented team from Glenlyon Norfolk School and went into extra time, but came up a bit short with a 1-0 loss.  In the bronze medal game (our third game of the day) we met York House School and played to a 1-1 draw.  After 15 minutes of extra time with no winner declared, we went into penalty kicks and came out the victors.  Congratulations to Emma Titley, Mariya Young, Megan Jackson and Stefanie Steinbrink Kelly who were individually recognised for their outstanding play.  The girls are now off to the Island Championships at St. Michaels School Monday and Tuesday.
