The Senior Girls Soccer team played in their first tournament last Thursday and Friday. Just having played a league game Wednesday night on their home field, they made the long trip up to Campbell River that night. Travel just like the pros.

The girls were pumped to be playing in the Investor's Cup.

Thursday morning was a beautiful day to be playing soccer and when the team managed to pull off a win in their first game against the Argyle Juniors, we were even more ecstatic. Takara C scored in the last five minutes of the game allowing us to qualify for a higher placement in the tournament.

Our second game that day was a tough match against the Argyle Seniors. After a long and hot day, however, we were ready to fight again for another win early Friday morning against Crofton House. Bryn C scored a brilliant first goal off of a cross into the box from Sarah L within the first five minutes of the game. Then Nairee P, a solid defender, made her way up the field from the back line and scored. Crofton House came back with their first goal but Brentwood managed to pull through with a 3-1 win after Bryn scored for the team once again.

The last game for Brentwood was another tough match against Powell River, but we battled hard; finishing 6th out of 16 teams was well deserved.

The girls are now looking forward to their tournament coming up next weekend in Victoria.
