Senior Girls Rugby: resilient win over Ladysmith

Tuesday, April 15, 2008 - By: Jim Burrows

On Tuesday, the Senior Girls rugby team hosted Ladysmith in a return league game. Brentwood began the game rucking strongly and moving the ball wide. After scoring twice early in the game, the girls let up somewhat and Ladysmith stormed back scoring two fine tries. Having been challenged, the team responded well, tackling strongly and supporting one another all over the field. Two late tries put the game away. Natasha, Mie, and Lenutsa all had superb games but Lucy Davis was named player of the game by Co-Captains Alison and Rona for her tackling and hard running in the loose play. The next game will be away at Parkland SS Tuesday 21st April.
