The senior boys soccer record now stands at two wins and two losses, with all wins at home and none on the road. The most recent game at Kwalikum saw a slow start but a much better second half. A penalty shot gave the hosts the lead where it remained until almost fulltime when Brentwood adopted to put more pressure on up front by sacrificing a defender in a effort to equalize. Although losing 2-0 to a more skilled squad, very few quality chances were afforded either team. Our defence was very solid, with the midfield working hard to win the ball and feed the forwards. Lack of shots minimized our opportunities to score combined with coming up against a Kwalikum defence that had a few talented defenders of their own that both anticipated and distributed well. The team next faces Shawnigan at home on the 22nd in what will be a must win game for possible advancement to the Island playoffs in November.
