Senior Boys Basketball: Mid-Island Champs

On Monday night on Saltspring Island, the Senior Boys basketball team defeated Gulf Islands Secondary School 71 - 49.  With this victory the boys went undefeated in league play and captured first place in the mid-island division.  Andre Coquillard had a monster game with 20 pts, 12 rebounds and 5 steals while Ian Parry and Matt Lee both continued their hot shooting streaks and finished with 17 and 14 points respectively.  Next up for the boys is the South Island Playoffs at St. Michaels School in Victoria.  Brentwood will need to finish in the top four of this eight-team tournament if they want a guaranteed berth to the Island Championships.  The boys start their playoff run on Wednesday night at 5:30 p.m. against Pacific Christian School.
