Senior Boys Basketball: Brentwood 94, Kwalicum 65

The Senior Boys basketball team played Kwalicum Kondors on Monday night in the first round of the Vancouver Island Invitational Tournament, the final score being 94-65 in Brentwood's favour. The contest provided every player with the opportunity to enjoy some game time, as the starting rotation quickly established a 26-2 first-quarter lead. Disregarding the score, however, Kwalicum played with grit and intensity, especially in the second half of the game. Indeed, the Brentwood players lost some of their focus as the game unfolded, as Coach Gage made emphatically clear in his post-game analysis. Players who performed admirably were Sam, David, Seb, and Johannes. The team travels back to Nanaimo on Tuesday night to face #12-ranked Cedar High School in their home gym, a match-up that will be a true test for the team. Tip-off is at 7:45 pm.
