Senior Boy Basketball: 3 wins out of 4

The Senior Boys basketball team played in this weekend's Welcome Back Tournament (hosted by Cowichan High School) winning three of four games. On Friday, an easy run against Spectrum then saw the boys pitted against Belmont High from Victoria. A narrow loss to Belmont, one of the top AAA teams in Victoria, exposed the team's inability to score consistently. Brentwood's defensive effort, however, improved during the game. On Saturday, Brentwood played back-to-back games against Mt. Doug High School and then Claremont. Again, Brentwood had difficulty finishing at the offensive end of the floor, but stellar work on defence powered the team to solid wins. Ray, Sam, Jo and Ben all enjoyed good outings. Next up for Brentwood is the showcase game against arch rivals Shawnigan Lake School on Tuesday night. All supporters are welcome, but should arrive early as the opposition will bring several bus loads of supporters!
