The Senior B Volleyball team began the year with 12 tenacious, competitive athletes and two brand new coaches and ended as one strong unit. Under the leadership of Captain Hanna McNeill, the team developed greatly and played some excellent volleyball.

The first test for the girls was their game against Shawnigan Lake School. With only two practices under their belts, they went on the court determined to grow as a team and dominate on the court. We lost by only a few points but improved greatly in both skill and connectedness as a team. The game only made the girls hungrier for another match.

After several demanding practices, the team participated in the Duncan Christian Invitational Tournament. This was made up of 16 local A teams. The girls played extremely well, losing only 2 out of 5 games. The pool play consisted of close matches resulting in a move to the consolation side of the draw where the girls made it into the top 5. It was a hard fought battle but the girls persevered finishing well.

Our two new coaches, Ms. Cook & Ms. Ball were amazing this year, going above and beyond to unite us a team and help us play at a highly competitive level. Congratulations to the entire Senior B team on a highly successful season.
