Senior A Volleyball Splits Season Opener

The Varsity Volleyball team competed in their first tournament of the year and came away with 3 wins and 3 losses this past weekend. The losses were to AAAA Vanier and Nanaimo District School as well as to AA Lambrick. The team defeated Kelsey, Woodlands and John Barsby in convincing fashion.  Lauren Y quarterbacked our complicated offence with intelligence and grit. Newcomers Allie W and Rachel J quickly adapted to our system and were instrumental in our victories, peppering the opposition with a variety of spikes. The team showed tremendous potential in this early round of matches and we are very excited to jump into the rest of the season. Next up is the UBC Mizuno Classic with the top 48 teams from Western Canada competing.
