Santa On Campus!

Twas the week before Christmas Break, when all through the McNeill Centre …  As winter break nears, the school is filled with twinkling lights and Christmas trees. The SAC knows this as the time of year when we host our annual Children’s Christmas Party for the children of Brentwood staff members. Last Sunday afternoon the McNeill Centre was transformed into a winter wonderland filled with cookie decorating and Christmas crafts. As the children arrived they were greeted by enthusiastic SAC members dressed up as elves and reindeer. Sprinkles and glue were everywhere as decorations and cookies were created.  We had two very special guests. The first arrived to wow everyone with his magic tricks. The magician made things disappear, reappear, and transform right before our eyes. As he impressed us all, the elves began to prepare for the guest of honour - someone they all know very well. Santa Claus himself arrived to take photos with and give gifts to every girls and boy, who, of course, made it onto the ‘Nice’ list.  I would like to thank all the volunteers who gave up their Sunday to make this such a memorable event for all the children, as well as the food services staff for making such a delicious meal. A special thank you to Mrs McLean; without her this event would not have happened. Merry Christmas! Megan A, Alex ‘18
