Run for the Cure Magic

Four magicians, led by Cool Dude, Eric Bedard, entertained a Bunch Theatre full of appreciative Brentwood students this past Friday night. Comedy and illusion held the audience captive even after bellies were full of Island Farms ice cream. The free magic show and ice cream treats were awarded to Brentwood, for raising the most funds for the CIBC's Run for the Cure event in October. Eric Bedard, award-winning magician, and Island Farms sponsored the prizes. This was, in fact, the third consecutive year that the Brentwood student body raised more funds than any other Island school. This year (2010) we had 147 students participate, raising $14,462 for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.  Our total since 2003 is a whopping $64,728. Well done Brentwood!
